About KWM

Kristen West McGuire, CFRE, was born in Texas, raised in Oregon…and has lived all over the great United States. She earned a B.S. in Psychology from Georgetown University and an M.Div. from Wesley Theological Seminary. Her first job was at the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education. McGuire also spent four years working for the base chapel at Malmstrom AFB. Her freelance work has been published in both secular and religious periodicals.

As a former executive director of a small non-profit and director of development, Kristen has great compassion (and flexibility) for busy non-profit executives. She believes God has a plan to help your fund your Christ-centered mission. United with prayer, her processes will uncover opportunities and strengthen your fundraising operations. McGuire has experience with nonprofits affiliated with many different denominations, including social service agencies, retreat houses and healthcare providers.

Kristen earned her CFRE in 2020 and is a member of the Association of Christian Fundraising  as well as the Association of Fundraising Professionals. She publishes spirituality for Catholic women at My Secret is Mine and attends Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Savannah, as well as St. Anthony Mission in Hardeeville.

Kristen and her husband, Dan, raised eight children– all of whom are now compassionate adults…and even taxpayers. (You’re welcome!) So, she has practical experience juggling competing priorities and receiving the graces and blessings of God to manage the chaos. The McGuires relocated from Montana to the Lowcountry in 2020.
